North Las Vegas Firefighters – Save the Fire Truck is a non-profit group set on restoring a 1940’s Howe-International fire engine. The fire engine was built by the Howe Fire Apparatus Co for the North Las Vegas Fire Department about the time the city was incorporated in 1946. Although the fire engine’s history after leaving the City of North Las Vegas is still a bit vague, it did serve our community for many years. The fire engine now serves as a tangible link to our community’s past. In restoring the fire engine we hope to educate future generations and inspire others to serve in their community.
